Homemade Oreo Vanilla Ice-cream

This is the easiest, mind-blowing, delicious 3 ingredient dessert recipe I've ever tasted. Never thought I could make an ice-cream at my very own 'mi casa'.

Ingredients:

Heavy whipping cream- 500 ml
Sweetened Condensed milk- 400 mg
Oreo biscuits - 2 packets of vanilla flavor
Vanilla Essence- 1 tsp (optional)

Directions:

  • Chill the cream and the glass bowl in which you are to whip in the freezer for 1-2 hrs. Be mindful that the cream does not freeze.
  • Take them out right before you start the process. In a bowl add some ice and keep the chilled glass bowl over it.
  • Pour the cream into the chilled bowl and start whipping it with an electric beater or a whisk.
  • Keep beating till it reaches to a little thick consistency and it forms a peak when you pull out the whisk.
  • Add in the condensed milk and vanilla essence, fold it in with whipped cream.
  • Now crush the Oreo biscuits, add into the cream, mix them and pour into an old ice-cream container or any Tupperware.
  • Serve it after you freeze them overnight or for 6 hours.
Tips:
  • More the percentage of fat in the cream, more it is easier to whip.
  • Using the chilled bowl, the cream, and placing it on ice is the keynote here.
  • I use the Amul whipping cream  or the Milky Mist fresh cream. You can use the blue tetra pack Amul fresh cream also but since the fat content is low, you have to cut open the pack and scoop out the thick part and use that as cream, the catch to this is that it takes more time. There are other brands also available like the Go Fresh cream.
