Chicken roast
This dish gets me drooling even just thinking about it. 😏
Chicken-1kg (small cut pcs)
Pepper-1 tbs
Turmeric-1tsp
Garam Masala-3tsp
Cardamom powder-1/2tsp
Coriander powder-2tsp
Lemon juice-1/2 tbs
Salt- to taste
Onions- 4 medium (sliced)
Ginger-1tbs
Garlic-1tbs
Green chili-1 (chopped)
Tomatoes-2 (chopped)
Curry leaves-1 stem
Coconut oil-2 tbs
Directions:
- In a kadai, heat oil, sauté the onions till translucent.
- Add ginger, garlic and chilly. Sauté for few minutes.
- On low heat add turmeric,coriander, garam masala, cardamom, pepper and sauté.
- Then add the chopped tomatoes. Sauté for few minutes, cover with a lid and cook till tomatoes becomes mashed up.
- Now add chicken to this and coat it with masala. Transfer this to a pressure cooker and cook with just 2 tbs of water for one or two whistles.
- After cooking transfer this again to the kadai and keep stirring on high flame till the water is almost evaporated.
- To this add 1tbs coconut oil, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp garam masala and keep stirring till dry.
Note:
-If using this as a side dish for chapati or similar food you don't have to wait till the water gets vaporized fully.
